Two burglaries on same day on same street; police investigate 2013 sexual assault

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On February 11 at 11:32AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11000 block of Kahn’s Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported that at about 9:30AM, someone was possibly heard inside the home. Upon checking the residence, he found the front door was slightly ajar. At this time, no entry is believed to have been made into the home. No property was reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On February 11 at 7:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11000 block of Kahn’s Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between February 8 at 4:00PM and February 10 at 12:00AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a basement window that was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**
Sexual Assault Investigation – In September of 2018, detectives with the Special Victims Bureau began to investigate a sexual assault that occurred in January of 2013 at a home in Manassas (20112). The investigation revealed the accused, a 17-year-old male at the time, sexually assaulted the victim, an 8-year-old girl at the time, while he was visiting family friends. The victim recently disclosed the assault to family members who then contacted the police. On February 6, detectives obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused who turned himself in to law enforcement in York County, VA without incident on February 11.
