Republican Senate candidate Corey Stewart announced today, March 12, his campaign has submitted nearly 150 percent of the required ballot petition signatures today to Virginia State Board of Elections (VBE).
“This is an important step in taking Virginia back from the swamp creatures in both parties,” Stewart opened, “and it would not be possible without the thousands of volunteers who have worked so hard these past months to reach this goal,” Stewart said. “Collecting nearly 15,000 signatures statewide is a heavy lift, and to do it in 10 weeks demonstrates the strength of our grassroots organization and ground game in Virginia,” Stewart concluded.
Candidates for Senate are required to collect and submit 10,000 total signatures and 400 in each of Virginia’s eleven Congressional districts to the State Board of Elections (SBE) by the end of March to qualify for the ballot. RPV requires candidates to pass a pre-check of 12,500 signatures.
