Burglary

On Oct. 3 at 10:43 a.m., police responded to the 4600 block of Evansdale Ave. for a burglary to a vacant residence. Property owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9 a.m. Sept. 26 and 10 a.m. Oct. 3. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear window that had been broken out. Copper piping valued around $300 was reported missing from a water heater and washer machine.

Attempted Burglary
On Sept. 28 at 1:03 p.m., police responded to the 15200 block of Weiskopf St. in Haymarket for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 4 p.m. Sept. 27 and noon Sept. 28, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through a bedroom window. The screen on the window was cut and pulled halfway off its frame. No entry was gained and no items were reported missing.

Larcenies from Vehicle – Firearm
On Oct. 3 at 9:06 a.m., police responded to the 4300 block of Golden Gate Way in Dumfries for a larceny from a vehicle. Vehicle owner reported to police that sometime between 10 p.m. Oct. 2 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 3, an unknown person entered his vehicle and removed a handgun, two cell phones and other related items valued around $1,200. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. No suspects were seen.
