PWC Police crime report: Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 - Laundry detergent, diapers missing in Giant robbery

INCIDENTS
• Shooting Investigation –
On January 21, 2023 at 10:06PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the area of Chatsworth Dr. near Rodes Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the victim, a 30-year-old man, was driving in the above area when rounds struck his vehicle.
The victim then encountered a Virginia State trooper and reported the incident. No injuries were reported. While checking the area, officers located an unoccupied vehicle that was also struck. Shell casings were located in the above intersection. A police K-9 searched the area for any suspects who were not located. There is no suspect description at this time.

• Armed Robbery – On January 20, 2023 at 12:13PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Giant located at 10864 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed a store employee observed a man and woman put items into a cart and walk out with the unpaid items. When the employee confronted the couple outside of the store, the male suspect brandished a firearm. The employee returned to the store and notified another employee before both employees left the store and confronted the suspects a second time. The male suspect again brandished the firearm before both suspects fled in a black Honda Accord Coupe with Virginia license plates: TVZ8420. At no time during the encounter were shots fired and no injuries were reported. Laundry detergent and diapers were reported missing.
Suspect Descriptions:
• A black male, between 20-30 years old, with black medium length styled hair, brown eyes, and a mustache. Last seen wearing a black headband, a shiny black windbreaker-style coat, dark blue jeans, and white/black shoes
• A black female, between 20-30 years old, between 5’7”-5’9”, and about 190 lbs. Last seen wearing a black head cover, earrings, a brown winter coat, blue jeans, pink sneakers, and carrying a baby wrapped in a blanket

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On January 22, 2023 at 2:41AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3300 block of Chelsea Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 38-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and struck her.
At one point, a family member, identified as a 10-year-old girl, attempted to intervene, and the accused pushed her against a wall before fleeing the residence. While police officers were investigating the incident, the victim received multiple threatening phone calls from the accused who also threatened law enforcement personnel. The victim reported non-life threatening injuries and the child reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Sirri Mohammed WEBB. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Sirri Mohammed WEBB, 38, of the 9500 block of Shephard Hills Dr. in Lorton
Described as a black male, 5’11”, 185 lbs., with long black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for 1 count of strangulation, 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of threats by phone, and 1 count of threats towards law enforcement

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On January 21, 2023 at 7:42PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 4200 block of Kenton Cl., Dumfries (22193) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the accused entered the home through a basement window and confronted the victim, a 30-year-old female acquaintance. The accused then forced the victim outside where a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat. When the victim attempted to separate from the accused, he grabbed her by the shirt collar and bit her arm. A short time later, a neighbor intervened, and the accused fled on foot. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Ahmad El RASHAD. Attempts to locate the accused, have been unsuccessful.

Ahmad El RASHAD, 32, of the 16600 block of Galt Ct. in Woodbridge
Described as a black male, 6’2”, 175lbs., with short black hair, brown eyes, full beard, and tattoos on his right arm
Wanted for strangulation, burglary, and assault & battery

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On January 22, 2023 at 6:49PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 10900 block of Coverstone Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 30-year-old man, made arrangements to sell a phone via a social media app to an unknown individual. The victim met in the above area where he was approached by an unknown man who stated he was the buyer. During the encounter, the man grabbed the phone from the victim and ran to an awaiting Toyota Corolla and fled the area. No injuries were reported. No weapons were implied or displayed during the encounter.
Suspect Description:
A black male, between 18-20 years of age, approximately 5’7”, with a thin build, short black hair, and brown eyes
Last seen wearing black rectangular glasses, a pink surgical-style mask, and a red/blue hooded sweatshirt

* Strong-Arm Robbery – On January 21, 20-23 at 11:01PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a robbery that was reported to have occurred at the Ravens Crest Apartments located in the 8000 block of Lyon Cl. in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening.
The investigation revealed the victim was walking in the above area when he encountered an unknown man who walked past him before striking him on the head, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect then demanded the victim’s property before fleeing on foot.
The victim went to an area hospital for the injury sustained during the altercation, where police were contacted.
Suspect Description:
The suspect was described as a stocky black male, about 5’6”, and wearing all dark-colored clothing.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 20, 2023 at 4:20PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Doves Landing Park located 9305 Doves Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple gunshots were heard coming from the area of the park. Three masked individuals were seen entering the park shortly before the shooting occurred. No firearm was observed. Officers located multiple casings along a trail in the park. No suspects were located, and no injuries or property damage were reported.

* Commercial Burglary – On January 20 at 11:40AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Kim’s Order Upholstery located at 13755 Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed entry was made into the business through a boarded up window that was found damaged sometime between 5:30PM on January 19 and 8:15AM on January 20. Bicycles and several power tools were reported missing.

ARRESTS
• Strangulation | Domestic Related –
On January 20, 2023 at 7:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to The Flats apartment complex located in the 2700 block of Neabsco Common Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 25-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal alteration that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck before the parties separated. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Israel Benjamin MENDOZA GOMEZ, was arrested.
