Joyce Lightner, mother of three, widow; service here June 18; interment in Tenn.
A viewing and funeral service for Joyce A. Lightner of Manassas will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110. The viewing will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by the funeral service from 1 to 2 p.m.
Mrs. Lightner passed away at her home in Manassas on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was 73. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jean Lockhart, and her grandmother, Rosa Folds Shackleford, and her former husband and friend, Hughie Lightner, Jr.
She is survived by her children Eric Lightner (Kay) of Haymarket, VA, Aliza Brown of Burke, VA, and Rochelle Walker (Robert) of Frederick, MD, and four grandchildren, Tarryn Brown, Terrence Brown, Jr., Rihaana Stephens, and Hannah Walker.
Interment will be held July 9, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens, 2116 Shepherd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
