Hall of Fame laurels for nine who made WSHS athletics great

Nine Woodbridge Senior High School athletes who made their mark at the school between 1969 and 2011 will be inducted into the 2011 Hall of Fame on Sept. 24.

According to a news release from the Viking Athletic Boosters Club, the inductees will be:
Jimmy Pierce - Crew 1984
Rosemary Kiem - Gymnastics 1972
Steve Masten - Soccer/Track 1992
Kelly Melton- Soccer/Basketball 2000
Angelo Hilios - Soccer Coach 1979-1993
Mike Yeatts - Soccer Coach 1996-2004
George Washington - Coach/Contributor 1993-2011
Jennifer Woodie - Soccer/Basketball 2002
Henry Jackson - Basketball 1969

The 2011 WSHS Hall of Fame inductees will be introduced at the half-time football game of WSHS vs Gar-Field on Sept. 23 and inducted Sept. 24 with an evening ceremony, dinner and tour of Woodbridge Senior High.
