Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity Dec. 6 at Hylton Center

The Creative and Performing Arts Center (CAPAC, Inc.) will present Hughes’ Black Nativity on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, where CAPAC is one of the founding Resident Arts Partners.

Black Nativity is a soul stirring musical production that is the signature theatrical piece of acclaimed poet Langston Hughes.

Hughes chronicles the original story of the Nativity through scripture, verse, music and dance. A jubilant company of astonishing actors, dancers, vocalists and musicians deliver a powerful message of joy, faith, hope, victory and deliverance.

Black Nativity is an inspirational performance that touches a special place in the hearts and minds of all who attend, according to a news release.
