Prince William County, Potomac Nationals baseball, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and PTC Roadside Development LLC, said July 17 that they have agreed to a framework for a public/private partnership that would bring a 6000-7000 seat state-of-the-art minor league baseball stadium to the county near Interstate 95 and US 1.

Feds grant Virginia a waiver from NCLB

United States Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has approved the Virginia Board of Education’s application for a waiver from the No Child Left Behind benchmarks in reading and mathematics and the federal law’s mandate that all students, regardless of circumstance, achieve grade-level proficiency by 2014. Firefighters rescue dog from Memorial Night house fire in Haymarket

Firefighters from Prince William County VA successfully extinguished a house fire in Haymarket and rescued the family's dog who was in the basement when the blaze erupted, late in the evening of Memorial Day Monday.
