Coles Supervisor Yesli Vega issued this statement: "Today (April 25, 2024) I was notified that graffiti including antisemitic symbols were found at Coles Elementary and Benton Middle School. I want to express my unwavering support for our Jewish community. In Prince William County, we firmly reject any form of hatred."

Nokesville and Evergreen trash service changing to self-serve

Trash and recycling collection staff at the Nokesville and Evergreen sites will no longer remove material from customers' vehicles. Residents should "come prepared to use this program on a self-serve basis," according to a county news release.

Prince William County offers resources to assist members of the public in staying cool when temperatures reach 95 degrees or higher and heat indices reach near 100 degrees.

PWC libraries will be cooling centers July 6-7

Today and tomorrow, July 6th and 7th, due to the forecasted high temperature of 97 degrees with heat index values anticipated to be as high as 105 degrees, members of the public who need shelter from the heat can visit a Prince William County library.

No more fines at Prince William libraries
