New meat processing facility coming to Farmville, with USDA inspections

Glenn Youngkin announced Dec. 28 that 5 Pillar Meats, LLC will create 12 new jobs and invest more than $1.7 million to build a new, multi-species, meat processing facility in the Prince Edward County Business Park in Farmville. The new facility will provide processing services, under USDA inspection, for southside Virginia producers with a focus on beef, lamb, and goats.

OmniRide adds 19 new buses to its fleet

"The addition of these buses will allow us to maintain an adequate contingency fleet and give customers safe and comfortable rides, as they reduce traffic and improve air quality – which has been our mission for 37 years.
