On September 17, detectives from the Homicide Unit developed additional information regarding the murder that occurred in the 16900 block of Porters Inn Dr. in Dumfries (22026) on the evening of September 16.

Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the man killed in the early morning shooting Aug. 29 that occurred in the area of Bel Air Rd & Jeffries Rd in Woodbridge.

On August 29 at 1:06AM, officers responded to the area of Bel Air Rd and Jeffries Rd in Woodridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they located an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 16-year-old female student, reported to police that while she was waiting for the bus, she was approached by a former acquaintance, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and physically prevented her from leaving.
