Woodbridge man charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On May 4 at 1:51AM, a Prince William County police officer stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Jefferson Davis Hwy. and Neabsco Rd. in Woodbridge (22191) for suspected driver impairment.

During the stop, the driver, identified as the accused, refused to exit the vehicle. Officers were eventually able to get the accused to exit the vehicle. While exiting the vehicle, the accused kicked the officer.

The accused reported minor injuries and the officer was not injured. The accused, identified as Viscomar HERNANDEZ-MORALES, was eventually taken into custody without further incident.

Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, driving under the influence, and refusal
