While PWC police take armed robbery report, second victim walks up to report similar robbery

Armed Robbery – On October 19th at 8:45PM, officers responded to the 10200 block of Farragut Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man pulled out a handgun and struck the victim in the head before taking the victim’s wallet and fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported.

While officers were on scene investigating this incident, a second victim, identified as a 29 year old woman of Manassas, approached officers and reported being robbed by a similar suspect. The suspect initially ran past the victim but stopped and ran back towards her. The suspect got close enough to the victim to grab her purse which led to a struggle. At that point, the man pulled out a handgun and the victim let go of her purse. The suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported in that incident. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

Black male, between 20 & 30 years of age, 5’11”, 170lbs with a thin build, dark complexion and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black ski mask

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On October 18th at 5:32PM, officers responded to investigate a reckless driver complaint which was reported to have occurred in the area of Dale Blvd and the I-95 overpass in Woodbridge (22191). The caller reported to police that he was driving in the above area when he encountered another vehicle. The driver of that vehicle reportedly ran multiple red lights while traveling on Dale Blvd. At one point the other driver aggressively veered into the caller’s lane causing him to leave the roadway and strike a median. No injuries were reported and only minor damage was noted to the caller’s vehicle. The caller was able to provide police with the vehicle’s license plate which identified the owner. Officers were able to further identify the driver as the accused and subsequently obtain warrants for his arrest.

Described as a Middle Eastern male, 5’11”, 165lbs with a thin build, short black hair, brown eyes and an unshaven face
Wanted for attempted malicious wounding and driving on a suspended license

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On October 19th at 10:53PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8900 block of Kingbird Ct in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a destruction of property call. The homeowner reported to police that he returned home to find damage caused by a bullet that struck the residence. The damage is believed to have occurred sometime between 5:00PM and 10:00PM. The bullet entered the home through rear window and was located on the floor by the homeowner. No one was home at the time of the incident and no other damage was reported.

Indecent Exposure – On October 17th at 10:16AM, police responded to the 4500 block of Knoll Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an indecent exposure incident which was reported to have occurred on October 16th at 4:00PM. The investigation revealed that four children, between 6 and 10 years of age, were walking home in the above area when they were approached by an unknown man. During the encounter the man lowered his pants and exposed himself to the children prior to departing from the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A man similar in description to this incident was also reportedly seen jogging in the same area last week. No exposure or contact was reported in that incident. The investigation continues.

White male, between 30 & 40 years of age, 5’11”, 200lbs with a heavy build, light complexion, receding brown hair and a beard

Residential Burglary – On October 19th at 12:16AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Greatbridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary a progress. The homeowner reported to police that she was asleep inside her residence when she woke to the sound of her doorbell. The homeowner then heard a noise coming from the basement area. Upon checking the home, the basement door was found damaged. Officers checked the home and did not locate a suspect(s). The door appeared to have been forced open. No property was reported missing and no suspect was seen.

Residential Burglary – On October 18th at 8:01AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9000 block of Burwell Rd in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:00PM on October 17th and 8:00AM on October 18th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into an office area on the property through an unlocked door. There were no signs of forced entry. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On October 19th at 6:08PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9700 block of Faber Ln in Bristow (20136) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 2:50AM and 3:30AM, entry was attempted into the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Assault & Battery – On October 15th at 2:02PM, officers responded to the 7-11 located at 7420 Old Centreville Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a fight. The victims, a 23 year old man and a 42 year old man – both of Manassas, reported to police that they were involved in a verbal altercation with another customer inside the store. The altercation continued outside and escalated physically. During the encounter, the other customer, later identified as the accused, struck the younger victim in the face before retrieving a crowbar from his vehicle. The accused then used the crowbar to strike the older victim in the head. The accused left the area prior to police arriving at the business. Minor injuries were reported. The victims were able to provide police with the suspect vehicle’s license plate which identified the suspect. The accused was later arrested on October 16th.

Malicious Wounding – On October 12th at 2:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10900 block of Tower Pl in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 37 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused stuck the victim with a lamp before exiting the residence and getting into a shared vehicle. The victim approached the accused, at which point, she accelerated forward and struck the victim, knocking him onto the hood of the vehicle. The accused fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the accused who was located and arrested without further incident.

PW Police report passenger dies from injuries sustained in an April 15 traffic collision

The investigation revealed the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup truck was traveling westbound on Yates Ford Rd. approaching Evans Ford Rd. when a 1993 Buick Roadmaster traveling eastbound on Yates Ford Rd. entered the intersection in front of the truck’s path of travel. The truck and Roadmaster collided within the intersection. The driver and female passenger of the Roadmaster were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
