VDOT to close Aden Road June 25-26 for pipe repairs if weather allows
The Virginia Department of Transportation will close Aden Road (Route 646) to through traffic between Joplin Road (Route 619) and the southern intersection of Parkgate Drive from 5 a.m. Saturday, June 25 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 26 for pipe replacement, weather permitting.
Through traffic will be detoured via Joplin Road, Bristow Road, Old Church Road and Parkgate Drive back to Aden Road. Detour signs will be in place. Message boards are in place alerting motorists to the closures.
Residents and businesses within the closure area, emergency vehicles and Quantico Marine Corps Base personnel will still have access during the closure.
