Tow truck workers call PW Police after hood reportedly struck with machete

**ARRESTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Brandishing a Machete – On June 16th at 6:27PM, officers responded to the area of Irongate Way and Winchester Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly conduct. The victims, a 30 year old man and a 28 year old man – both of Manassas, reported to police that they worked for a local tow company and were towing a vehicle from the area above when they were approached by the vehicle’s owner, identified as the accused. During the encounter, the accused became agitated and retrieved a machete from his vehicle. The accused then reportedly stood in front of the tow truck and repeatedly struck the hood with the machete. At that point, the victim’s contacted police and officers detained the accused. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on June 16th:
Marco Tulio HERNANDEZ, 34, of 10370 Launch Cir in Manassas
Charged with attempted malicious wounding, brandishing a machete, and destruction of property

Felony Child Neglect/Abuse | Driving under the Influence – On June 13th at 12:30PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and River Ridge Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving four vehicles. Officers arrived at the location and identified one of the drivers involved in the collision as the accused. During the investigation, officers determined that the accused was under the influence of alcohol. Officers further learned that at the time of the crash, there was a 1 year old child in the backseat of the vehicle. The child was not restrained in a child safety seat or belt and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The child was released to another family member.

Victoria Isabel HOLMES, 25, of 3043 Chinkapin Oak Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with felony child abuse/neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, driving under the influence, and resisting arrest

**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On June 16th at 10:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Ann Scarlet Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 3:30PM on June 13th. The investigation revealed that screens on two windows of the home were found damaged. Jewelry valued around $2,600, was reported missing.

Attempted Burglary to a Church – On June 16th at 1:59PM, officers responded to the Montclair Tabernacle Church located at 16120 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate an alarm activation. Officers checked the church and discovered a door handle on a rear door was damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the building and no property was reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 16th at 7:48AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4100 block of Ferrara Tr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary is believed to have occurred around 5:00AM. The investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
