Tire and auto store worker robbed in store’s parking lot

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On August 14th at 9:17PM, officers responded to the Merchants Tire & Auto located at 12741 Harbor Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 55 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was an employee of the business and was walking to his vehicle in the parking lot when he was approached by an unknown man. The man pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency then assaulted the victim before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
Suspect Description:
Black male, between 20 & 25 years of age, 5’10”, 150lbs with a thin build, dark complexion and an unshaven face
Last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants

Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 11:01AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 1200 block of Potomac Vista Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that between 3:00AM and 6:00AM, entry was attempted in the home through a front door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the apartment and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Brandishing a Machete | Resisting Arrest – On August 14th at 6:03PM, officers responded to the 13800 block of Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a brandishing. Multiple callers reported to police that an unknown man was in the parking lot in the above area waving a machete in the air and threatening others. Officers arrived in the area and located the man, later identified as the accused. The accused was still in possession of the machete and began to run from officers. After a short foot chase, the accused was detained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The accused was also wanted on unrelated charges.

William Robert HARGROW, 33, of no fixed address
Charged with brandishing a machete and resisting arrest
Court date: September 23, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Narcotics Investigation – On August 14th, members of the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive Task Force conducted a warrant service at a residence located in the 3613 Felmore Ct in Woodbridge (22193). Once inside the home, narcotics were discovered by members of the task force.  Detectives from the Street Crimes Unit obtained and subsequently executed a search warrant at the residence. During the search, suspected control substances including heroin, cocaine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, liquid codeine, prescription medications, evidence of distribution and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Israel ANDINO II, 25, of 3613 Felmore Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with 3 counts of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic, 1 count of possession with intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic and possession of marijuana
Court date: October 10, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
