Thirty-one Prince William County teachers nominated for Teacher of the Year awards

Thirty-one World-Class teachers have been nominated by school staff and parents for the Prince William County Schools’ Teacher of the Year Award and The Washington Post Teacher of the Year Award.

Nomination packets will be evaluated based on award criteria, including the teacher’s ability to instill in students a desire to learn and achieve; understand the individual needs of students; and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of subject matter, and have the ability to share it effectively with students.

Three will be selected as Teachers of the Year at their respective level; one of the three will become the winner of The Washington Post Award and the PWCS Teacher of the Year.
