Talk to Del. Anderson at town hall meetings this week

Residents will be able to talk to Del. Richard L. Anderson (R-51) at two town hall meetings this week—from the comfort of their own home one evening and in person in Nokesville the next. Anderson says he wants to get constituent views in preparation for the 2012 legislative session of the Virginia General Assembly.

On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Anderson will conduct a live telephone town hall at 7:30 p.m. for all residents of the 51st House District. He will share ideas for the 2012 legislative session in Richmond.  He will also ask for the views of callers and open the line for them to ask questions.

To initiate the telephone town hall, Anderson’s office will call the home telephone numbers of several thousand residents and invite them to participate.  By staying on the line, residents will be connected automatically to the conference.

On Thursday, Oct. 20, Del. Anderson will be at the Nokesville Volunteer Fire Department, 12826 Marsteller Drive in Nokesville, to talk to residents of the central and western portions of the 51st House District.

Anderson will be joined by Sen. Richard H. Stuart (R-28) of Montross, who will represent part of Prince William County under the 2011 legislative redistricting plan. Brentsville District Supervisor Wally Covington will also attend.

Under the new redistricting, Anderson now represents an expanded area that extends from Occoquan in eastern Prince William to Buckhall Brentsville, Nokesville and a small portion of Gainesville in the west.
