Suspicious residents call police after finding rounds inside their Woodbridge homes

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On Friday, Jan. 8 at 4:44PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the County Center Crossing Apartments located in the 7000 block of Lakota Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a destruction of property.

A resident of an apartment reported to police that rounds entered her apartment sometime between Dec. 4, 2020 and Jan. 7, 2021. The investigation revealed that a window and a wall sustained damage consistent with being struck by projectiles. No additional property damage was reported.

Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On Sunday, Jan. 10 at 10:38AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1900 block of Old Post Ter. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a destruction of property.

The homeowner reported to police that a round entered her home sometime between 8 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 10. The investigation revealed that the round entered the home through the living room wall before traveling through the floor to another level. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.
