Supervisor Nohe to host first Community Pride Day for Yorkshire and Loch Lomond on Saturday, Sept. 8

Yorkshire and Loch Lomond area residents are invited to join Coles District Supervisor Marty Nohe on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. for Yorkshire/Loch Lomond Community Pride Day, according to a news release. Everyone is welcome. The event will be held at Joseph D. Reading Park at 8460 Maplewood Drive in Manassas.

There will be a picnic featuring informational displays, giveaways, a moonbounce and fun children’s activities. Hot dogs and drinks will be provided. Everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share with neighbors.

A dumpster will also be on-site for residents to dispose of large and bulky items. A staff member in the supervisor’s office asked residents to “keep in mind that certain items cannot be accepted at the dumpster including fuel tanks or drums, televisions and household hazardous waste such as pesticides, pool chemicals, motor oil, paint/paint thinners and antifreeze.”
