“Shiver in the River” has new look

It’s no surprise that Keep Virginia Beautiful’s largest annual fundraiser, Shiver in the River, will look different this year due to COVID. SHIVER IN VIRGINIA is a statewide, month-long effort that all can participate in. KVB officials hope you mark your calendar to register for SHIVER IN VIRGINIA on February 1!

KVB has made it easy to participate in these trying times - in your own community, at your own pace, and as much or as little as you like. Beginning on February 27th, the original date of Shiver in the River, we will kick off a challenge to complete beautiful acts during the month of March, such as litter cleanups, recycling, trail cleaning, graffiti removal, and other improvements.

For a donation of $20.21 to support Keep Virginia Beautiful, you can join in on the fun of mapping our progress, as we complete the mission path of 2021 miles around the Commonwealth. Just for joining, you’ll receive a FREE one-day parking pass to Virginia State Parks!

KVB will spotlight beautiful places in Virginia throughout the month, and you can share your pictures, contributions, and successes with everyone who is on the SHIVER IN VIRGINIA mission with us. As we reach milestones together on our path around the Commonwealth, there will be amazing prizes!

So for now, hang tight til February 1 when registration opens.
The Challenge runs from Feb, 27 until March 31.
