Rape and robbery charges filed against local residents

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Assault Investigation – On June 23, detectives from the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which occurred at a residence located in Triangle (22172). The investigation revealed that the victim, now a 13-year-old girl, was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion since 2011 by the accused, identified as a family member. The incidents were recently disclosed to a family member who contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
Arrested on June 24:
Michael Richard UDAETA LOPEZ, 30, of Triangle
Charged with 3 counts of rape

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 26 at 11:24PM, officers responded to the 7400 block of Stream Walk Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 25-year-old man of Manassas, was walking in the above area when he was approached from behind by an acquaintance, later identified as Thomas Jeffery LERCHENFLED. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim then took his money before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused who was located and arrested a short time later without incident.
