PWC school officials seek deferral of hearing on US 15 bus facility proposal

Prince William County Schools (PWCS) has requested the Planning Commission not hold a scheduled public hearing on June 6, and to defer action on the subject proposal to construct a bus parking facility on US 15, north of Loudoun Drive.

According to a news release, the School Division is reviewing the comments and suggestions received at a May 22 PWCS public meeting on the proposal and needs additional time to consider the issues identified. Many residents made comments and raised concerns at the meeting.  The School Division analysis will determine whether there are options to modify the proposal in order to address the concerns raised. A decision will also be made on whether to formally withdraw the proposal, the release said.
