PWC Police investigate shooting, armed robbery, indecent exposure incidents

Unlawful Wounding *ARREST – On September 21, the suspect involved in an unlawful wounding which was reported to have occurred at the homeless camp located in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge on September 17 was arrested without incident.

Unlawful Wounding [Previously Released] –On September 17 at 3:41PM, officers responded to the homeless camp located in the 2700 block of Potomac Mills Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation on September 13 which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly grabbed the victim and shoved her to the ground causing an injury to her arm. The parties eventually separated and the victim later responded to a local hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of the accused. The investigation continues. 

**INCIDENTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation–
On September 20 at 9:34PM, officers responded to the 7700 block of Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile of Manassas, was shot in the lower body after a verbal altercation with several unknown persons. The encounter appears to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute. After the shooting, the suspects fled the area. Responding officers provided immediate first-aid to the victim before rescue crews arrived on scene. The victim was flown to an area hospital and is expected survive. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery – On September 20 at 1:28PM, an officer on routine patrol in the area of River Ridge Blvd and Jefferson Davis Hwy in Dumfries (22026) was flagged down by a citizen concerning a robbery which had just occurred. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 26-year-old man of Dumfries, was walking in the above area when he was approached by three unknown men in a silver Cadillac SUV. During the encounter, one of the suspects exited the vehicle brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the victim. The suspect took the victim’s wallet then got back into the vehicle which fled the area. No injuries were reported. Officers checked the area but did not locate the vehicle or the suspects. The investigation continues.

White male, between 18 & 19 years of age with short blonde hair
Last seen wearing all dark clothing

Black male, between 18 & 19 years of age
Last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants

Indecent Exposure – On September 20 at 4:50PM, officers responded to the area of Irongate Way and Farragut Ct in Manassas (20109) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 20-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she was walking in the above area when she was approached by an unknown man driving a vehicle asking for directions. During the encounter, the man exposed himself and made an obscene gesture towards the victim. The victim walked away and contacted police. The suspect never exited the vehicle and drove away. The investigation continues.

White male, 5’10”, 180lbs, with shaggy blonde hair, and blue eyes

Residential Burglary – On September 20 at 12:20PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5000 block of Anchorstone Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred on September 19 around 9:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into an attached garage of the residence through the garage door which was left open. No entry was made into the main residence. A golf bag with golf club and a canopy tent were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On September 20 at 11:46AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Grayson Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 22-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused burned the victim on the arm with a lighter. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.
