PWC Police investigate abductions, domestic assault & battery cases

Information released by Prince William County Police Department on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015:

**UPDATES**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding *ARREST
– On September 15th, the suspect sought in connection to the September 9th shooting which reportedly occurred in the 14300 block of Wrangler Ln in Woodbridge, turned himself into police without incident.
Arrested on September 15th:
Alexis Alberto MARTINEZ, 25, of the 14300 block of Chesterfield Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony
Court Date: October 22, 2015 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Aggravated Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On September 9th at 4:12PM, officers responded to the 14300 block of Wrangler Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers arrived in the area and located shell casings in the roadway. While investigating this incident, a victim, identified as a 21 year old man of Woodbridge, walked into an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. Through the investigation detectives were able to link the victim to the incident on Wrangler Ln. The investigation further revealed that the victim was sitting in a vehicle in the above area when another vehicle pulled alongside and an occupant opened fire. As a result, the victim was subsequently struck. During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the shooter as the accused, who is a known acquaintance to the victim. The victim was treated at an area hospital for the non-life threatening wound. This incident appeared to have stemmed from a previous incident between the two parties and was not random. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Alexis MARTINEZ.

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On September 15th at 11:41AM, officers responded to the Exxon Service Station located at 13505 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. A store employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the business and approached the counter. Once at the counter, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. Attempts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful.
Suspect Description:
Black male, unknown age, 6’0”, 160lbs with a medium build, goatee and bald head
Last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt with white stripes down the sleeves, black pants and a black mask

Residential Burglary – On September 15th at 9:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:15PM and 9:30PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a door which was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

Commercial Burglary – On September 15th at 9:00AM, officers responded to the Massage Envy Spa located at 4100 Fortuna Center Plz in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The business manager reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00PM on September 14th and 7:22AM on September 15th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear door.  An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Abduction | Assault & Battery – On September 15th at 8:00PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 9200 block of Falling Water Dr in Bristow (20136) earlier that afternoon around 6:15PM. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Bristow, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving a bedroom by standing in front of the door. At one point, the accused grabbed the victim and pushed her against a wall. The parties eventually separated and the victim reported the incident to police later that evening. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Patrick Michael WALSH Jr., 19, of 9237 Falling Water Dr in Bristow
Charged with abduction and assault & battery
Court Date: PENDING | Bond: held WITHOUT bond

Abduction | Domestic Assault & Battery – On September 14th at 9:53PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8100 block of Maplewood Dr in Manassas (20111) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 34 year old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and prevented her from leaving a bedroom to contact police. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and attempted to dial 9-1-1. As the victim was dialing, the accused approached the victim and pulled the landline phone from the wall causing it to disconnect with the call taker. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Bruce Anthony BOYKIN, 48, of the 8100 block of Maplewood Dr in Manassas
Charged with abduction, domestic assault & battery and preventing the summoning of police
Court Date: PENDING | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
