PWC Police incidents and arrests reported March 21, 2017

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On March 20 at 11:00PM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 66-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was in the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded property from the victim. The suspects took money from the victim before fleeing the area on foot.  No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area for the suspects who were not located.

Hispanic male with a medium build
Last seen wearing a blue NY Giants hoodie

White male with a large build – no further description is available at this time

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 19 at 4:19PM, officers responded to the 8000 block of Lyon Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that an unknown male was seen shooting a handgun into the air then fleeing the area on foot.  Officers checked the area and did not locate any shell casings at the time. A citizen located several shell casings in the above area on March 20 around 6:00PM and contacted police. No injuries or property damage were reported.
Suspect Description:
A black male, between 17 & 22 years of age, 5’08”, 150lbs with a thin build
Last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, and black backpack

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On March 20 at 8:00PM, officers began an investigation concerning a domestic assault that occurred at an apartment located in the 2900 block of Fox Lair Dr in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 42-year-old man of Woodbridge, and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a large knife then struck the victim in the arm causing several minor lacerations. The parties eventually separated and the victim responded to the Gar-Field Station to report the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

Charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault & battery
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
