• Fatal Crash Investigation *DRIVER CHARGED – On August 26, 2022 after consultation with the Prince William Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit charged the driver of the 2018 Ford F-150 involved in the fatal crash that occurred in the area of Dumfries Rd and Country Club Dr in Dumfries (22025) on July 21, 2022. Following the investigation, the driver, identified as Jesse Rean BACHA, was issued and released on a summons to appear in court.

Fatal Crash Investigation [Previously Released] – On July 21, 2022 at 8:33AM, investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Dumfries Rd and Country Club Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a crash. The investigation revealed the driver of a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Dumfries Road approaching the intersection of Country Club Dr, when the driver disregarded a red traffic signal and continued into the intersection where the vehicle struck a 2018 Lexus E300H that was within the intersection making a left turn from Country Club Dr onto Dumfries Rd. The impact of the crash pushed the Lexus into the southbound travel lanes. The driver of the Lexus was transported to an area hospital and died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision. A front seat passenger in the Lexus was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was not injured. Investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police. Charges are pending. The investigation continues.
INCIDENTS
Sexual Assault Investigation – On August 25, 2022, detectives with the Prince William County Police Department’s Special Victims Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at several locations in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County between December 2009 and September 2020. The initial investigation revealed a female victim, who was between 6-16 years of age during the time of the offenses, was sexually assaulted by a family member, identified as the accused, on more than one occasion during the above timeframe.
While investigating the incidents, detectives learned that between March 2019 and March 2021, the accused sexually assaulted a second female victim, who was between 13-15 years of age at the time of the offenses, at multiple locations in the Woodbridge (22193) area.
The victims recently reported the incidents prompting the police investigation. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jose Adam PEREZ NIETO. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

• Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery – On August 25, 2022 at 9:51PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Ali Krieger Sports Complex located at 2400 Heritage Blvd. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted robbery.
The investigation revealed the victim, an 18-year-old man, was leaving the sports complex when he was approached by two men. During the encounter, the suspects demanded the victim’s property. When the victim refused, the suspects struck the victim. The suspects fled when an acquaintance of the victim intervened.
The victim reported the incident to a family member who contacted police. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. The victim reported minor injuries. No property was reported missing. The suspects were described as being between 5’9-6’0”, with medium builds and wearing all black clothing with ski-style masks.
ARRESTS
Armed Robbery – On August 25, 2022 at 10:08AM, Prince William County Police officers patrolling in the 13900 block of Richmond Hwy. in Woodbridge (22191) observed a group of men actively fighting. When officers stopped to investigate, they learned one of men involved in the altercation, later identified as the accused, was involved in a robbery earlier that morning. Officers attempted to detain the accused who refused to follow officer’s commands and immediately fled on foot. While officers were pursuing the accused, a bystander took the accused to the ground where officers detained him without further incident.
The investigation revealed that at approximately 3:00AM, the victim, a 37-year-old man, was staying at the Potomac Inn when multiple unknown men entered his room. Then one of the men brandished a knife and took the victim’s property before leaving the room.
Later that morning, the victim observed one of the suspects in the above location and confronted him leading to a physical altercation. Additional bystanders also intervened before officers arrived at the scene. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Raquelle Darris JOHNSON, was arrested.
While police were searching the accused, he was found in possession of a knife matching the description of the one used in the earlier robbery. The accused reported minor injuries sustained during the physical altercation prior to police arrival.
Later that day, officers responded to the above location for an unrelated call when they encountered a man, later identified as Phillip Edward DOUGLAS. While speaking with DOUGLAS, officers were approached by the victim who indicated DOUGLAS was involved in the robbery earlier that morning. Following the investigation, Phillip Edward DOUGLAS, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 25, 2022 at 7:21PM, officers were at UVA Haymarket Medical Center located at 15195 Heathcote Blvd. in Haymarket (20169) with an individual who became combative.
The individual, identified as the accused, was in police custody at the facility for an evaluation when he began being verbally and physically abusive towards staff. When officers attempted to restrain the accused, he spat towards them, striking an officer twice in the face.
The accused continued to be defiant, kicking the same officer and attempting to reach for the officer’s duty weapon. The accused was eventually restrained without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Kevin Lindo CADELINA, was charged and released on a summons while remaining hospitalized.

• Attempted Commercial Burglary – On August 26, 2022 at 4:14PM, Prince William County Policeofficers responded to Checks Cashed located at 7426 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an alarm activation. Upon arriving at the business, officers observed a dent in the front window and a stone on the ground. Video surveillance revealed a man, later identified as the accused, attempted to gain entry into the business with the stone. The accused was unable to make entry into the business and fled on foot.
While checking the area, officers located the accused, who matched the description from the video surveillance. The accused immediately fled upon officers attempting to make contact with him. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was located a short distance away. After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The accused was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Alexander Noel JIMENEZ, was arrested. The accused was also wanted on several charges from an unrelated incident.
