• Felony Animal Cruelty *ARREST – On February 27, the suspect sought in connection to the animal cruelty investigation that was reported to have occurred at the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1300 block of East Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) on February 10, was arrested. The accused, Tyler Alexander SADOFF, was located in the Woodbridge area and taken into custody without incident.

Charged with 1 count of felony animal cruelty, 1 count of felony destruction of property, 1 count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, 1 count of domestic assault & battery and 1 count of assault & battery

Felony Animal Cruelty [Previously Released] – On February 10 at 5:08PM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1300 block of East Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation earlier in the day before the victim left the apartment. A short time later, the victim returned to the apartment to find her mixed Maine-Coon Tabby cat injured and lying on the floor.
When the victim picked the cat up and attempted to provide aid, the accused grabbed the cat and threw it out of the window. The victim retrieved the cat and brought it back into the apartment where the accused again grabbed the cat and threw it out of the window to the ground below. When the victim went outside to retrieve the cat a second time, the accused followed the victim and grabbed her neck from behind. A bystander observed the altercation and attempted to intervene.
At that point, the accused grabbed the bystander and attempted to grab his neck. As police were being contacted, the accused fled the area on foot. The cat was located deceased, and Animal Control Officers responded to the scene to transport the animal to the state lab for further examination and to determine the cause of death. The victim and bystander were not injured. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Tyler Alexander SADOFF. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
INCIDENTS
• Brandishing of a Firearm | Road Rage Related – On February 27 at 10:15PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a brandishing that was reported to have occurred at the intersection of the Prince William Pkwy and West Longview Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) earlier that evening.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a Honda sedan. While stopped at the above intersection, the driver of the Honda brandished a firearm towards the victim. The Honda continued to follow the victim until the vehicles separated. Later that evening, the victim contacted the police. At no point during the encounter were shots fired. The investigation continues.
ARRESTS
• Felony Child Neglect – On February 26 at 6:35PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a shooting that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 11100 block of Stagestone Way in Manassas (20109) earlier that evening.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 7-year-old boy, located an unsecured firearm inside the home. While handling the firearm, a round discharged and struck the victim in the hand before traveling through a bedroom wall and into a bathroom. The child’s father, later identified as the accused, immediately transported the victim to an area hospital where police were contacted. The injuries to the victim were determined to be non-life threatening. No additional injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Erik Christopher BROWN, was arrested.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 27 at 8:25PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Counselor Rd. in Manassas (20112) for a warrant service from another jurisdiction. When officers arrived at the residence, they made contact with the accused who refused to follow the officer’s commands and attempted to flee into the home. Officers quickly detained the accused who continued to actively resist.
After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody. While escorting the accused to a police vehicle, he kicked an officer. While inside the police vehicle, the accused continued to actively resist, damaging interior parts of the cruiser, and physically striking his head against the partition causing minor injuries. Minor injuries were reported by the officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as William Patrick BROWN, was arrested.
