INCIDENTS
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Damage to Vehicles – On August 18, 2022 at 1:14AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Signal Hill Apartments located in the 15700 block of Beacon Ridge Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. While checking the parking lot area, officers located two unoccupied vehicles that sustained damage consistent with being struck by projectiles. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Officers also located shell casings in the parking lot.
• Commercial Burglary – On August 17, 2022 at 10:15AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a burglary that was reported to have occurred at Roger Weigle CPA located at 8573 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) sometime between 5 PM on August 4, 2022 and 10 AM on August 5, 2022. The were no signs of forced entry into the business. A credit card and a firearm were reported missing.
• Residential Burglary – On August 16, 2022 at 3:30PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 11500 block of Franklin Woods Dr. in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed the attached garage was burglarized occurred sometime between 12:00AM on August 12 and 12:00PM on August 16. Entry was made into the garage through the side door which was found unsecured. Fishing rods were reported missing.
ARRESTS
• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 17 at 10:56AM, Prince William County Police officers were on patrol when they observed an individual at the McDonald’s, located at 10730 Balls Ford Rd. in Manassas (20109), who was previously trespassed from the business.
Officers made contact with the individual, identified as the accused, and attempted to detain him. During the encounter, the accused refused to follow officer’s commands and fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit and a brief struggle, where the accused struck an officer, he was taken into custody without further incident. The officer reported minor injuries.
During a search, the accused was found to be in possession of suspected illegal narcotics. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Michael Anthony COACHMAN III, was arrested.

Charged with assault & battery on LEO, possession of controlled substance, and trespassing
