PWC Police Crime Report: Jan. 11, 2023: Shootings - at apartment, at residence, at county park

INCIDENTS
• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling –
On January 11, 2023 at 10:27PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Elevations One Apartments located in the 14300 block of Bellona Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple rounds struck one of the apartment buildings in the complex. The sound of gunfire was heard by residents. No suspects were seen or located, and no injuries were reported. Officers located multiple casings in the area.

• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On January 10, 2023 at 10:09PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3600 block of Masthead Trl in Triangle (22172) on Jan. 6 at approximately 2:15AM. The investigation revealed that multiple shots were fired, striking the home. No injuries or other property damage were reported. Police were not immediately called after the incident. Residents reported the encounter to a third-party a few days later who contacted the police. A suspect was seen on home surveillance who is possibly known to a resident at the home. This incident does not appear to be random.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On January 11, 2023 at 4:29PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to Doves Landing Park located 9305 Doves Ln in Manassas (20112) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed multiple gunshots were heard coming from the area of the park. Four teenaged males were seen leaving the park at the time of the shooting. No firearm was observed. Officers located multiple casings along a trail in the park. No suspects were located, and no injuries or property damage were reported.

ARRESTS
• Unlawful Wounding | Domestic Related –
On January 12, 2023 at 12:59AM, officers responded to the Assembly Manassas Apartments located in the 10400 block of Butterfield St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, an 18-year-old man, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated physically. During the encounter, another family member, a 39-year-old man, attempted to intervene to separate the two parties when the accused assaulted him in the lower body. The family member was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The initial victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Essohanam Aimee EDJEOU-BAH, was arrested.

Charged with unlawful wounding and domestic assault & battery
Court Date: Pending | Bond: $3,000 unsecured

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On January 8, 2023 at 10:17PM, responded to the East Gate Terrace Apartments located in the 18400 block of Lotus Ct in Triangle (22172) to investigate a domestic. When officers arrived, a man, later identified as the accused, was observed laying on the roof of a vehicle in the parking lot. The accused was determined to be intoxicated and officers attempted to detain him. During the encounter, the accused became combative by pushing and shoving two of the officers. The accused was eventually detained. No injuries were reported by the officers or from the initial domestic. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Brandon Samuel LEE, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of obstruction, and 1 count of public intoxication
