PWC Police Beat July 17, 2015

**INCIDENTS**
Armed Robbery
– On July 13th at 3:38PM, officers responded to the area of the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas (20109) for a report of an armed robbery.  The victim, a 36 year old male from Manassas, reported that he was helping DJ a birthday party at a residence when 2 men asked him to step outside to talk.  Once outside, one of the men produced a handgun and took money, his car keys and car.  The suspects fled in the victim’s car and a second vehicle described as an older tan Chevrolet Caprice with Maryland license plates.

Suspect 1 is described as a black male, 6’ 0”, 185 pounds, wearing a brown and black shirt, blue jeans, and black running shoes.

Suspect 2 is described as a male, 6’0”, heavy build, wearing a green polo shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Armed Robbery – On July 17th at 12:05AM, officers responded to the Exxon Service Station located in the 8000 block of Sudley Road in Manassas (20110) for an armed robbery.  The clerk, a 38 year old man from Manassas, reported that a white male with his face concealed robbed the business while displaying a black revolver.  Cash was taken from the register.  The suspect fled the business on foot, running south toward the adjoining shopping plaza.

Suspect 1 is described as a white male, 5’8”, 145 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt with white stripes, blue jeans, and black shoes.  His face was covered by a blue bandana.  At this time no video or still photos are available from the incident. 

**ARRESTS**

Strangulation | Malicious Wounding (Domestic) – On July 12th at 12:47PM, officers responded to the 10300 block of Peric Court in Manassas (20110) to investigate an assault.  The victim, a 17 year old female from Woodbridge, VA, reported that her boyfriend had choked her and hit her multiple times.  Warrants were obtained by the investigating officer and were served on the 13th.
Arrested on July 13th:
Dametrius Stephon Brown, 33, of the 10300 block of Peric Court in Woodbridge
Charged with Strangulation, Malicious Wounding, and Engaging in a Consensual Sex Act with a Child 15 or More Years of Age
Court Date:  Unknown | Bond: Held WITHOUT bond

Burglary – On July 15th at 11:53AM, officers responded to the 12700 block of Captains Cove in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary.  Officers arrived for the report of a residential alarm to find that a glass panel was broken out of the front door.  The suspect fled out of the rear of the residence and into the adjoining wood line.  A suspect name was developed after officers spoke to other neighbors in the community.  A short time later, the suspect was located and taken into custody.
Arrested:  A 17 year old male from Woodbridge, VA.
Charged with Burglary, Attempted Grand Larceny, and Destruction of Property (Felony)
