PWC Police Beat Aug. 26, 2015 - Public Storage facilities burglarized in Woodbridge

**INCIDENTS**
Commercial Burglary
– On August 25th at 8:39PM, officers responded to the Public Storage located at 13887 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 5:30PM. The investigation revealed that someone entered multiple storage units on the property. The units appeared to have been entered after the doors were pried open. No property was immediately reported as missing.

Commercial Burglary – On August 24th at 4:50PM, officers responded to the Public Storage located at 14123 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. Employees reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM on August 23rd and 3:00PM on August 24th. The investigation revealed that someone entered multiple storage units on the property. The units appeared to have been entered after the doors were pried open. A laptop and other miscellaneous property were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On August 25th at 5:48PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1800 block of Strickland Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. A resident of the home reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 5:15PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a kitchen window. Two watches and a pair of shoes were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On August 24th at 8:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9200 block of Rainbow Falls Dr in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30PM on August 23rd and 8:30AM on August 24th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into the home through an unsecured garage door. A wallet, IPad, money and other property were reported missing.

Attempting Residential Burglary – On August 25th at 2:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 16600 block of Reservoir Lp in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 10:30PM and 11:40PM, entry was attempted into the home through the front door which was found damaged. The homeowner reportedly heard two loud noises around that time frame. No entry was made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
