ARRESTS

Rape / Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 19, 2012, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 11200 block of Golden Leaf Cl in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 12-year-old girl of Manassas, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, for the past two years. Following an investigation, the accused was subsequently arrested on July 24, 2012. Arrested: Tyrone Edward ALLEN, 31, of 8635 Brigade Ct in Manassas Charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Rape / Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 22, 2012, detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau began an investigation into a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7900 block of Sharpsburg Ct in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 10-year-old girl of Manassas, had been sexually assaulted by both of the accused individuals listed below. The assaults by both men took place over several years. Both accused individuals are known acquaintances to the victim.

During this investigation it was learned that another victim, a 20-year-old woman of Manassas, had also been sexually assaulted by one of the accused, MANZANAREA. Following an investigation, the accused, QUINTERO, was arrested on July 23, 2012 and the accused, MANZANARES, was arrested on July 24, 2012. Arrested: Edgardo Noe MANZANARES, 42, of 1290 Bayside Ave #2 in Woodbridge. Charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery, taking indecent liberties with a child and forcible [for the 10-year-old victim] and the rape, aggravated sexual battery and taking indecent liberties with a child [for the 20-year-old victim]. Maximino QUINTERO ARROYO, 34, of the 7900 block of Sharpsburg Ct in Manassas Charged with rape, aggravated sexual battery, taking indecent liberties with a child and forcible sodomy. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Malicious Wounding – On July 24, 2012 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to the 14300 block of Belleville Ave in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault which occurred on July 23, 2012 around 11 p.m.. The investigation revealed that on that date, the victim, a 33-year-old woman of Woodbridge, was involved in a verbal altercation with a group of known acquaintances which escalated. During the encounter, the suspects physically assaulted the victim by striking her in the face and torso with a metal pipe. The suspects fled the above area on foot prior to police arrival. Following the investigation, the suspects were located and arrested without incident. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries. This incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues. Arrested: Helene Kimberly CLEVELAND, 34, of 14669 Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date and bond information unavailable. Latoya Patrice CARTER, 33, of 14227 Birchdale Dr in Woodbridge. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Malicious Wounding / Assault & Battery – On July 22, 2012 at 7:36 p.m., police responded to the 16600 block of Sutton Pl in Woodbridge (22191) for a fight. The victim, a 30-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and a group of known acquaintances were at a residence in the above area when a fight ensued. The group kicked and punched the victim several times. A second victim, a 33-year- old woman of Woodbridge, attempted to intervene and was also assaulted by the group. Minor injuries were reported. The group was located by police and arrested without incident.

Charged with malicious wounding [for the 30-year-old victim] and assault & battery [for the 33-year-old victim]. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond. Marvin Leonel CABERERA, 24, of 15711 Tassleford Ln #012 in Woodbridge. Charged with malicious wounding [for the 30-year-old victim] and assault & battery [for the 33-year-old victim]. INCIDENTS

Residential Burglary – On July 24, 2012 at 11:30 a.m., police responded to the 2000 York Dr in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. Homeowner reported to police that he had just arrived home and observed three unknown men fleeing his residence. Entry appeared to have been made through a rear door which had been forced open. Police set up a perimeter in the surrounding neighborhood and utilized a K-9 the search. No suspects were located. Jewelry, valued around $18,000, was reported missing. 

Residential Burglary – On July 23, 2012 at 4:53 p.m., police responded to the 15100 block of Cardin Pl for in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3 and 4:30 p.m. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A handgun and a laptop, valued around $1,500, were reported as missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 23, 2012 at 9:19 p.., police responded to the 14800 block of Emberdale Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 2 and 8 p.m., an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence through the front door. The locking mechanism appeared to have been tampered with. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no items were reported missing.
