ARRESTS
Rape / Burglary

On July 13 at 10 a.m., police responded to investigate a rape which was reported to have occurred in the 4600 block of Pearson Dr in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 16-year-old female, had been sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance who had been renting the basement in the residence. The accused was arrested in charge in that incident. At 12:40 a.m. on July 14, police responded to the same residence for a reported burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that the homeowner returned home to find the accused individuals running from his residence. The suspects were located by police and charged. It was later learned that this incident was in retaliation for the sexual assault against the victim.
Arrested in reference rape to investigation, charged with rape and held without bond was Daniel O’Neal Stewart Jr., 26, of the 4600 block of Pearson Dr., Woodbridge. His court date was unavailable.

Arrested in reference to the burglary investigation was Lionell Keith Griffin, 18, of 5004 Lynwood Dr., Woodbridge. He was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit grand larceny, burglary, grand larceny and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor [for the 2 other accused] and was held without bond. His court date was unavailable.

Two juveniles were also arrested in reference to the burglary investigation, a 15-year-old male of Washington DC and a 17-year-old male of Woodbridge. Both juveniles were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, conspiracy to commit grand larceny, burglary and grand larceny and are being held at a juvenile detention facility. Their court dates were unavailable.

Malicious Wounding / Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement Officer [LEO]
On July 12 at 9:56 p.m., police responded to the 14100 block of Madrigal Dr in Woodbridge (22193) for a domestic. The investigation revealed that the accused was acting violent in the front of the residence. During the encounter, the victims, a 52-yea-old man and a 53-year-old woman, were assaulted by the accused as they tried to get him under control. Police arrived at the scene and attempted to gain control of the accused. The accused then spat in the face of an officer as he was being restrained and transported. The victims sustained minor injuries. The victims and the accused are known acquaintances. 

Arrested was Robert Matthew Morton, 28, of 14112 Madrigal Dr., Woodbridge. He is charged with malicious wounding, assault & battery on LEO, threats to burn, domestic assault & battery and obstructing police. He is being held without bond, and his court date is Sept. 2, 2011.

Narcotics Investigation
On July 13, police executed a search warrant in connection to an ongoing narcotics investigation at 8267 Vernon St., Manassas (20109). As a result of the search warrant, computers, mushrooms and other evidence were recovered. Information gathered led to the execution of an additional search warrant at 7595 Gales Ct #103 in Manassas (20109). As a result of this search warrant, prescription medications, mushrooms, computers and other items were recovered.

Arrested was Spencer Daniels Chernoff, 23, of 8267 Vernon St., Manassas. He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic [oxycodone] and two counts of prescription fraud.

Also arrested was Jesse Bernard Chernoff, 27, of 7595 Gales Ct. #103, Manassas. He was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II narcotic [mushrooms & oxycodone], one count of possession with intent to distribute a schedule III narcotic [suboxone], one count of possession with intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic [zanax], one count of prescription fraud and one count of prescription forgery.

Court date for both men was set for Aug. 22, 2011, and both are being held without bond.
