ARRESTS

Malicious Wounding – On April 7, 2012 at 8:04 p.m., police responded to the 7600 block of Gales Ct in Manassas (20109) for a domestic. The victim, a 43- year-old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly grabbed a box cutter and began slashing at the victim. The victim sustained a minor laceration to his foot and was transported to an area hospital. The accused was arrested without further incident. Arrested: Shirley Marie MOORE, 36 of the 7600 block of Gales Ct in Manassas. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond.

Malicious Wounding – On April 7, 2012 at 2:15 p.m., police responded to the 4600 block of Charlton Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an assault. The victim, a 23-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a physical altercation. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim with a hammer then stabbed him in the back. The accused fled the residence prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused turned herself into police later that morning without further incident. Arrested: Jessica Marie BURNETT, 22, of 1554 Kenilworth Ave NE in Washington D.C. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date and bond information unavailable.

Unlawful Wounding – On April 7, 2012 at 2:12 a.m., police responded to the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a domestic. The victim, a 30-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim in the head with an unknown blunt object. The accused fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accused was eventually located at a family member’s residence in the 2900 bloc of Wetherburn Ct where she was arrested without further incident. Arrested: Martha Kelly ARES, 22, of the 2000 block of Horizon Ct in Woodbridge. Charged with unlawful wounding. Court date unavailable, released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 9:48 p.m., police responded to Kleibers Restaurant located at 13634 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a disorderly. The victim, a 30-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside the restaurant when he got into a verbal altercation with two men, one being the accused. The victim went outside where the accused followed and the altercation escalated. The accused allegedly displayed a knife and attempted to stab the victim. A friend of the victim, a 37-year-old man of Fredericksburg, intervened in the altercation, at which point, the accused then attempted to stab him as well. No injuries were reported. The accused was arrested without further incident. Arrested: Salvador DIAZ GONZALEZ, 25, of 1265 Everett Ave in Woodbridge. Charged with 2 counts of attempted malicious wounding. Court date set for May 29, 2012, held WITHOUT bond.

INCIDENTS

Shooting – On April 8, 2012 at 3:27 a.m., police responded to the 12800 block of Island House Lp in Woodbridge (22193) for a shots fired call. The victim, a 24-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard several loud bangs coming from the parking lot area. Upon investigating the noise, the victim discovered several bullet holes in his vehicle’s hood and windshield. The vehicle was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported. No other vehicles or property were damaged during the incident. This incident does not appear to be a random act. Investigation continues.

Shooting – On April 8, 2012 at 3:15 a.m., police responded to the 13700 block of Ensenada Ct in Manassas (20112) for a larceny in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was inside his residence when he heard an unknown vehicle pulled into his driveway. The homeowner observed the driver, an unknown man, exit the vehicle and begin to rummage through items in the carport just outside the residence. The homeowner confronted the male, who began to walk back towards his vehicle, and fired several rounds at the suspect believing he was retrieving a weapon. The man was able to get back in his vehicle and flee the area. It is unknown if the man or the vehicle was struck by any rounds. No other property damage was reported and no items were missing. Lookout: Male, possibly white, between 40 & 50 years of age, 6’0” / 200lbs, medium build. Last seen wearing a dark colored jacket and jeans.

Burglary – On April 8, 2012 at 2:51 a.m., police responded to the 16700 block of Georgetown Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9 p.m. on April 7 and 2:30 a.m. on April 8, 2012. Entry appeared to have been made through a bedroom window which had been forced opened. 3 TV’s, 4 computers, other electronics and items, valued around $10,000, were reported missing.

Burglary – On April 8 at 12:46 a.m, police responded to the 7500 block of Old Carolina Rd in Gainesville (20155) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8 p.m. on April 7, 2012 and 12:01 a.m. on April 8. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. 2 TV’s and a laptop, valued around $1,600, in addition to, an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

Burglary – On April 7, 2012 at 4:22 p.m. police responded to the Pilothouse Marina located at 16223 Neabsco Rd in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary to a boat at the location. Boat owner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4 p.m. on April 3, 2012 and 12:15 p.m. on April 7, 2012. Entry appeared to have been made into the living quarters on the boat through a sliding glass door which had been forced opened. A marine radio and related electronic equipment, valued around $500, were reported missing. 

Attempted Burglary – On April 7, 2012 at 1:37 p.m., police responded to the 4600 block of Kaplan Ct in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 6:30 p.m. on April 5, 2012 and 8 a.m. on April 7, 2012, an unknown person(s) had attempted entry into the residence through a rear patio window where a screen had been cut. No entry is believed to have been gained into the residence and no items were reported missing.
