PWC Police Beat 2/15/13

**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On February 14th, detectives from the Violent Crimes Bureau identified one of the suspects involved in the robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 15000 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge on February 3rd. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. Later that evening, members of the Prince William County Police Robbery Unit, Street Crimes Unit, and the U.S. Marshals’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the accused at his residence on Cloverdale Rd without incident. Detectives are still working to identify the second suspect involved in the robbery (see description below). Investigation continues.
Arrested on February 14th:
Richard Pierre BROWN, 19, of 15019 Coverdale Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding, abduction, and robbery
Court date set for March 20, 2013, held WITHOUT bond

Lookout:
2nd male was between 25 & 30 years of age, 6’5”, 200lbs, with a dark complexion, medium build, black hair and brown eyes. Last seen wearing gray sweatpants

Armed Robbery (Previously Released) – On February 3rd at 8:28PM, police responded to the 15000 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) for a robbery. The victim, a 26 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was delivering pizzas to an address in the above area when he was robbed. The victim arrived at the delivery address and was confronted by an unknown man sitting on the porch. A verbal altercation ensued and the man struck the victim with a blunt object. The victim was knocked to the ground, at which time, a second unknown man appeared and began going through the victim’s pockets. The men took the victim’s cell phone and wallet, in addition to, the pizzas before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported.

**INCIDENTS**

Burglary to a Community Center – On February 14th at 10:30AM, police responded to the Islamic Community Center of Northern Virginia (ICCNOV) located at 14505 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) for a burglary in progress. The caller reported to police that he was working in an office located inside the Mosque when an unknown man forced a lock door open and entered. The caller confronted the man who immediately fled in a vehicle. No property was reported missing.

White male, between 45 & 50 years of age, 6’4”, 220lbs, with a medium build

An early 2000’s, red Chevrolet Silverado with North Dakota license plates

Attempted Residential Burglary – On February 14th at 2:25PM, police responded to the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 11:00AM and 2:00PM, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence through the front door which was damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
