Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling
On Jan. 2, 2012, police arrested the accused in connection to the below shooting call reported on June 22, 2011. The identity of the accused came about through information received by police. During the initial call in June, two residences in the 3000 block of Seminole Rd were actually struck by bullets. The investigation revealed that the accused allegedly shot at one residence on Seminole Rd over a dispute with the homeowner. During the shooting, inadvertently, a second residence was struck. No injuries were reported from either residence.

A search warrant was executed at the residence of the accused. As a result, two handguns and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. Arrested: Richard James OCKSRIDER, 20, of 8626 Arbee Ct in Nokesville, charged with 2 counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling and 1 count of attempted malicious wounding. Court date set for Feb. 9, 2012, held WITHOUT bond

Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling (Previously Released)
On June 22 at 7:44 AM, police responded to the 3000 block of Seminole Rd in Woodbridge (22192) for a shooting into an occupied dwelling. Homeowner reported to police that between 3:15 and 3:30 AM, a loud noise was heard from inside the residence. The homeowners did not notice anything suspicious until later that morning when bullet holes were discovered in the side of the residence. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated around $750.

INCIDENTS

Armed Robbery
On Jan. 1, 2012 at 2:28 AM, police responded to the 7-11 located at 10740 Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) for a robbery. The clerk reported to police that an unknown woman entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The women took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the store. No injuries were reported. Lookout: White female, 27-28 years of age, 5’07” / 155lbs, medium build. Last seen wearing light colored pants, black hooded sweatshirt, black hat and a red scarf over her face

Brandishing
On Dec. 31, 2011 at 11:14 PM, police responded to the 1300 block of Redbud Ct in Woodbridge (22191) for a brandishing. The male victim, 33, of Stafford, reported to police that he was in the area above when he was approached by the accused who displayed a handgun. The victim was in the Willowbrook community checking decals as part of a contract with the HOA. The accused, for an unknown reason, ordered the victim from the property. The accused was last seen entering a residence in the above area where police were able to obtain an identity. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful.
Wanted: (No Photo Available) Kevin Harold LOGAN, 31, of 1349 Redbud Ct in Woodbridge. Described as a white male, 5’07” / 135lbs, thin build, bald / blue eyes. Wanted for brandishing

Burglary / Grand Larceny
On Jan. 2, 2012 at 1:47 AM, police responded to the 5000 block of Kapp Ln in Woodbridge (22193) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2 p.m. Jan. 1 and 2 a.m. Jan. 2. Entry appeared to have been gained through a locked window. Three TV’s, a laptop and 2 gaming consoles, valued around $2,000, were reported missing. The homeowner also reported his/her 2000, red 4 door Nissan Xterra missing from the driveway.  Through information obtained, it was learned that the below listed individuals, one a juvenile, were responsible for the burglary and stolen vehicle. Warrants have been obtained against both subjects involved. Attempts to locate them have been unsuccessful.

Wanted: (Photo from October 2011) Christopher Laquan WHITAKER, 18, of 5009 Lynwood Dr in Woodbridge, Described as a black male, 5’11 / 140lbs, thin build with black hair / brown eyes. Wanted for possession of stolen property.

Wanted: (Juvenile) A 17 year old male of Stafford Wanted for possession of stolen property

Burglary
On Jan. 2, 2012 at 6 p.m. police responded to the 12200 Dapple Gray Ct in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11 a.m. on Dec. 31, 2011 and 2 am. On Jan. 1, 2012 There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured basement window. A computer, gaming console and a pair of shoes, valued around $400, were reported missing.

Burglary
On Jan. 1, 2012 at 4:53 a.m. police responded to the 12800 block of Evansport Pl in Woodbridge (22192) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2011 and 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2012. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A gaming console, jewelry and other items, valued around $6,700, were reported missing.

Burglary
On December 31st at 8:20AM, police responded to the 8100 block of King Arthurs Ct in Manassas (20111) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM on December 24th and 8:20AM on December 31st. Entry appeared to have been made through a kitchen skylight. A TV, jewelry, and other items, valued around $25,000, were reported missing.

Burglary
On December 31st at 12:03AM, police responded to the 7600 block of Monitor Ct in Manassas (20109) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:00PM and 11:45PM on December 30th. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear door. A TV, valued around $1,000, in addition to an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

Burglary
On December 30th at 9:40PM, police responded to the 12700 block of Bren Forest Way in Manassas (20112) for a burglary. Homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:30AM on December 28th and 9:30PM on December 30th. Entry appeared to have been made through a front door which had been forced opened. Jewelry, valued around $2,500, was reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On January 1st at 4:51PM, police responded to the 12500 block of Meadowland Ln in Nokesville (20181) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 9:30PM on December 31st ad 2:30PM on January 1st, an unknown person(s) attempted entry into the residence by several windows by puncturing the screen near the latches. No entry was made into the residence and no items were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary
On December 30th at 3:50PM, police responded to the 6100 block of Talk Pl in Woodbridge (22193) for an attempted burglary. Homeowner reported to police that between 7:00AM on December 23rd and 3:00PM on December 30th, an unknown person(s) attempted to enter the residence by breaking out a rear window. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no items were reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding
On Jan. 2, 2012 at 1:57 p.m., police responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred in the 7400 block of Bull Run Rd in Manassas (20111). The victim, a 28-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim in the face causing a laceration above the eye. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The accused was arrested without incident. Arrested: Gary Lynn MITCHELL, 22, of the 7400 block of Bull Run Rd in Manassas. Charged with malicious wounding. Court date and bond information unavailable
