**INCIDENTS**

Malicious Wounding | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 20th at 9:42PM, police responded to a residence located in the 1500 block of Indiana Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic incident. The victim, a 26 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the victim attempted to contact police, at which time the accused forcibly grabbed the phone from the victim preventing her from doing so. The accused then grabbed the victim and dragged her to the kitchen area where he began to physically assault her. After the assault, the accused left the residence and the victim called police. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.

Commercial Burglary – On October 22nd at 1:59AM, police responded to the Tobacco Time located at 2898 Garber Way in Woodbridge (22192) for an alarm. Officers arrived at the business and discovered the front glass door was broken out. A police K-9 was used to search the building and then for the suspect. No suspect was located. Cigarettes, valued around $1,600, were reported missing. Surveillance video showed an unknown suspect entered the store and took the property above.

Residential Burglary – On October 20th at 12:07PM, police responded to a residence located in the 13200 block of Hampshire Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:20PM on October 19th and 11:00AM on October 20th. Entry was made into the home through a rear window which was forced open. An undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Abduction | Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On October 17th at 9:38AM, police responded to a residence located in the 13100 block of Haddock Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic incident which occurred a few days prior. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated on October 15th. During the encounter, the accused physically assaulted the victim, knocking her to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused got on top of her and began to choke her. The victim sustained minor injuries. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused who turned himself into police on October 21st.
