PWC Police arrest suspects in armed robbery, burglary, strangulation, domestic assault cases

**UPDATES**

Armed Robbery *ARREST – On Nov. 27, Prince William County Police detectives with the Robbery Unit identified one of the suspects involved in an armed robbery which occurred in the area of Rhode Island Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on Nov. 21 at approximately 2 p.m. Detectives with the Robbery Unit subsequently obtained petitions for the arrest of the suspect, identified a 17-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge. The accused was located and arrested without incident. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On November 22, officers began investigating a robbery that reportedly occurred in the area of Rhode Island Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on November 21 at approximately 2:00PM. The victim, a 16-year-old male, reported to police that he was walking with two other acquaintances in the above area when three males approached them. During the encounter, one of the males brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s shoes. The males took the victim’s shoes and his jacket before fleeing the area. No Injuries were reported. This incident was not immediately reported to police and does not appear to be random. The investigation continues.

Burglary | Assault and Battery *ARREST – On November 23, Gustive Warren HANSLEY, wanted for an assault and a burglary which occurred at a residence located in the 12000 block of Hazelwood Dr in Nokesville on November 8, was located in Spotsylvania County and arrested.

Burglary | Assault and Battery [Previously Released] – On November 8 at 9:54PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12000 block of Hazelwood Dr in Nokesville (20112) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 27-year-old woman of Manassas, reported to police that the accused, an acquaintance, entered the residence through an unlocked door without her consent. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving. Minor injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused, identified as Gustive Warren HANSLEY. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

**INCIDENTS**

Strong-Armed Robbery – On November 21 at 5:41PM, officers responded to the Best Buy located at 2730 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed that an unknown black male walked into the business and approached a sales counter. During the encounter, the suspect pushed an employee and took several new cell phones before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, in his 20s, 6’00”, 185-190lbs, with brown eyes and black hair

**ARRESTS**

Abduction | Strangulation – On November 28 at 10:50PM, officers responded to investigate an assault which occurred at a residence located in the 3500 block of Wanda Ct in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that evening. The victim, a 23-year-old woman, reported to police that the accused, an acquaintance of a friend, grabbed the victim and then dragged her into a bedroom where he began to choke her and take off her clothing. The victim was eventually able to break free from the suspect and flee the area in her vehicle as she contacted police.  Minor injuries were reported. When officers arrived and made contact at the suspect’s residence, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. A search warrant was obtained and subsequently executed. Marijuana and cocaine were recovered. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jahari Christopher DAVIS, was arrested.

Charged with strangulation, abduction with intent to defile, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On November 25 at 11:45PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14000 block of Big Crest Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in a verbal dispute with her son, identified as a juvenile boy, which escalated physically. During the encounter, the accused placed the boy in a chokehold with her arms. The boy was eventually able to break free and left the area. When the boy returned home with another family member, identified as a 61-year-old woman, another verbal altercation occurred between the parties. During the argument, the accused struck both of the victims in the face. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Angela Jontee SHANNON, was arrested without incident. Minor injuries were reported. Child Protective Services responded and released the boy into the custody of a family member.
