PWC Crime Report: April 20, 2023 - PWC teacher charged with sexual battery of student, 15

• Malicious Wounding *ARREST –
On Wednesday, April 19, 2023 the suspect sought in connection to the domestic assault that was reported to have occurred at the Rosemary Ridge Apartments located in the 7600 block of Cupids Dart Lane (20109) on April 16, 2923 was arrested. The accused, David Alejandro MARCHORRO GUERRA, was located and taken into custody in Sussex County where he will remain until transported to Prince William County.

Charged with malicious wounding

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On April 16, 2023 at 11:46PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Rosemary Ridge Apartments at the 7600 block of Cupids Dart Lane, Manassas (20109) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old woman, and a family member, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused threw a cell phone at the victim and struck her with his fist. The parties separated and the accused fled prior to police arriving in the area. Fire and rescue personnel responded to the scene and treated the victim for non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as David Alejandro MARCHORRO GUERRA. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

IINCIDENTS
• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling –
On Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 4:51PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3500 block of Wharf Ln. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving at the residence, officers located a victim, a 58-year-old woman, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived and transported her to an area hospital where the injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. The investigation revealed several shots were fired from a dark-colored sedan before the vehicle fled the area. Rounds fired struck the victim and her home. No additional injuries were reported. While checking the area, officers located four parked vehicles that were also struck by rounds. Officers also located shell casings in the roadway. The investigation continues.

• Armed Robbery – On Wednesday, April 19 at 4:35PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the 11700 block of Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 31-year-old man, made arrangements to meet in the above area to conduct a transaction over shoes with an unknown person via a social media app. During the transaction, the other party brandished a firearm and walked away from the victim.
The victim initially followed the suspect and at one point, the suspect struck the victim causing him to fall to the ground and temporarily lose consciousness. When the victim woke, the suspect was observed getting into a black Dodge Challenger and fleeing the area. The victim reported minor injuries. An undisclosed amount of money was reported missing. The suspect is described as a 30-year-old white male.

•Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On April 19, 2023 at 9:56PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the 9500 block of Laurencekirk Pl. in Bristow (20136) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed the drivers of two vehicles were traveling on Laurencekirk Pl. and were possibly involved in a dispute. At one point, the drivers of the vehicles stopped, and a round was fired. Both vehicles quickly fled the area. No injuries or property damage were reported. While checking the area, officers located a shell casing in the roadway. Neither vehicle nor the drivers involved were located.

• Indecent Exposure – On Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at 11:22AM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Dollar Tree located at 5275 Waterway Dr. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate an indecent exposure. The investigation revealed an unknown man was shopping in the store when an employee observed him hiding behind shelves. At one point while the suspect was hiding, the employee observed the suspect reach into his pants and begin making inappropriate gestures. When the employee confronted the suspect, he left the store and fled in an older green pickup truck. At no point during the incident was there any physical contact between the suspect and the employee or any of the other patrons inside the store.
Suspect Description:
An older black male, approximately 6’1”, and 180lbs.
Last seen wearing a light-colored hat, a tan hooded jacket, dark-colored pants, and brown shoes

ARRESTS
• Sexual Assault Investigation –
On April 19, 2023 Prince William County Police Department detectives concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1500 block of Sandpiper Bay Lp. in Dumfries (22026) on March 30.

The investigation revealed the victim, who was under the age of 15, and a teacher at her school, identified as the accused, arranged to meet outside of school on March 30. That morning, the accused picked up the victim and provided her with marijuana before driving her to his residence in Dumfries where he sexually assaulted her. The accused then dropped the victim off near the school.

The encounter was recently reported to the police—prompting the investigation. The victim and the accused were known to one another by his employment as a teacher at a Prince William County public school. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Tavon D’Andre TOWN, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of aggravated sexual battery, 1 count of forcible sodomy, and 1 count of indecent liberties
