Prince William School Board appoints delegates to professional organizations and committees

In accordance with Board Policy 180, the Prince William County School Board takes action annually regarding membership in professional organizations and selection of Board representatives to each organization.

At its January 4 meeting, the Board approved these actions and appointments for organizations or committees as follows:

• Continue membership in the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) and renew membership for National School Boards Association (NSBA) for 2017.
 
• Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as delegate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 15–17, 2017.
• Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention in Williamsburg, Virginia on November 15–17, 2017.
• Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as delegate to the National School Boards Association Annual Convention in Denver on March 25–27, 2017.
• Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as alternate to the National School Boards Association Convention in Denver on March 25–27, 2017.
 
• Justin Wilk (Potomac) as representative to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2017.
• Loree Williams (Woodbridge) as alternate to the Northern Virginia Special Education Regional Board for 2017.
 
• Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) as representative to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2017.
• Diane Raulston (Neabsco) as alternate to the National Alliance of Black School Educators for 2017.
 
• William Deutsch (Coles) as representative to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2017.
• Shawn Brann (Acting Member, Brentsville) as alternate to the Prince William County and Schools Joint Audit Committee for 2017.
 
• Chairman Ryan Sawyers to serve as representative to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2017.
• Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve as alternate to the Washington Area Boards of Education for 2017.
 
• Lillie Jessie (Occoquan) to serve as representative to the Head Start Advisory Board for 2017.

• Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) to serve as representative to the School Health Advisory Board for 2017.

• Alyson Satterwhite (Gainesville) and Justin Wilk (Potomac) to serve on the Safe Schools Advisory Council for 2017.

• Chairman At-Large Ryan Sawyers and Shawn Brann (Acting Member, Brentsville) to serve as representatives to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2017.
• William Deutsch (Coles) to serve as alternate to the PWCS Internal Audit Committee for 2017.
