Prince William educators present workshops at Va. Middle School Conference

Administrators and teachers employed at two Prince William County middle schools presented workshops at the 2015 Virginia Middle School Association’s Conference Oct. 30 at James Madison University.

From Saunders Middle School: Dr. Sheila Huckestein, principal; Mary Rehberg, assistant principal; Jackie Ashley, math teacher; Kathryn Heasley, science teacher; Matthew Smith, social studies teacher; and Kenneth Harkins, language arts teacher shared expertise and experience on targeted teaching and assessments in their workshop, “The Curriculum, Assessment for Student Learning Journey Begins!”

From Woodbridge Middle School: Skyles Calhoun, principal, presented “Planning Success,” which focused on building relationships in the classroom, leadership teams working collaboratively to support student needs, and motivating students.
