Prince William County Police investigate homicide, fatal crash, malicious wounding

**INCIDENTS**

Homicide Investigation – On November 20th at 12:41PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2100 block of West Longview Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a suspicious death. A known acquaintance, reported to police that he located the victim unresponsive inside the residence. Officers arrived at the home and found the victim suffering from trauma to the upper body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives from the Homicide Unit are investigating this death as a homicide. Further investigation revealed that the victim’s blue 2000 GMC Sierra with Virginia license plates ABD8942 is missing. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues. This is Prince William County’s 9th homicide of 2015*.

The victim was identified as Harold Woodrow HALL, 67, of the 2100 block of West Longview Dr in Woodbridge

Fatal Crash Investigation – On November 6th at 10:35PM, officers responded to the area of Jefferson Davis Hwy and Powells Creek Blvd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis was attempting a left turn against a red turn signal from southbound Jefferson Davis Hwy onto eastbound Powells Creek Blvd when the vehicle collided with the driver of a 2013 Toyota Avalon who was traveling in the northbound lanes. A passenger of the Avalon was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries on November 18th. The driver of the Avalon sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this crash. The driver of the Grand Marquis was initially charged with reckless driving at the scene. The investigation continues.

The driver of the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis was identified as Jasmine Janelle JOHNSON, 24, of 15084 Cardin Pl in Woodbridge

Malicious Wounding – On November 23rd at 9:54PM, officers responded to the 10300 block of Lomond Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 43 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that a man, known acquaintance, struck him in the face causing a severe laceration.  The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim was not cooperative with investigators. This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

Residential Burglary – On November 21st at 7:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 9400 block of Merrimont Trace Cir in Bristow (20136) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 7:20PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear glass door which was found shattered.  Jewelry, electronics, and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 21st at 11:41AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 400 block of Harbor Side St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between September 19th and October 24th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Jewelry and clothing items were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On November 21st at 11:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13400 block of Hershey Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that video surveillance revealed that at 12:22AM an unknown person entered a detached garage through an unlocked door.  Beer and a firearm were reported missing.

White male, between 18 & 21 years of age with a thin build – No further description provided
Last seen wearing a light colored jacket and a white shirt
