Prince William County Police Department’s arrest report for July 15, 2022

ARRESTS
• Aggravated Malicious Wounding on Adult Detention Center Officer – On July 14, 2022 at 10:00PM,  Prince William County Police officers responded to the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center (ADC), located at 9320 Lee Avenue in Manassas (20110), to investigate an assault on a staff member, according to a report filed by Master Police Officer Renee, public information officer.
The investigation revealed an inmate of the facility, identified as the accused, approached an ADC officer with a plastic hand-made sharpened object. During the encounter, the accused attempted to stab the officer multiple times. After a brief struggle, the accused was taken into custody without further incident. The officer reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Salomon Alberto NAZAR, was charged and remains incarcerated at the ADC.

Charged with aggravated malicious wounding of an ADC officer, stabbing in commission of a felony, assault and battery on an ADC officer, and injury of an ADC officer by a prisoner

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On July 13, 2022 at 2:38AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 10500 block of Neale Sound Ct. in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a domestic. The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s neck. The victim was able to separate from the accused and grabbed his phone to contact the police before leaving the home.
The accused followed the victim out of the residence where he then tackled her to the ground and took the phone from her. Another family member contacted the police. The parties separated prior to police arriving at the location. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Aiden Keith THOMPSON, was arrested.
