**INCIDENTS**

Murder Investigation – On September 12th at 1:50AM, officers responded to the area of Old Linton Hall Rd and Charis Ave in Gainesville (20155) for a shots fired call. Officers arrived and located two adult male victims in a nearby parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to nearby hospitals where one victim, identified as a 23 year old man of Gainesville, died as a result of his injuries. The second victim, identified as a 22 year old man of Bristow, is suffering from life threatening injuries. While investigating, officers were approached by a third victim, identified as a 24 year old man of Manassas, suffering from a minor graze wound to the hand. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival, possibly in a light colored SUV. Detectives from the Homicide Unit did determine that this incident was not random and had stemmed from a physical altercation just prior to the shooting. All three victims were known to one another. The relationship between the shooting suspect and the victims is currently being investigated. This homicide investigation has been classified as a murder. This is Prince William County’s 3rd murder of 2015. The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 703-792-6500.

The deceased victim has been identified as Claude Lee JACKSON III, 23, of Gainesville

Malicious Wounding | Strong Armed Robbery – On September 12th at 8:52PM, officers responded to the 4400 block of Forestburg Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 45 year old man of Triangle, reported to police that he and a female acquaintance were involved in a verbal altercation in front of a residence in the above area. During the encounter, a vehicle pulled up to both parties and several other known acquaintances exited and began assaulting the victim. The suspects took money from the victim before fleeing in the vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. This incident was not random and stemmed from a prior incident between the victim and one of the other parties. The Investigation continues. 

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On September 11th at 5:51PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 13900 block of Hedgewood Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 41 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a sharp pointed object and held it against the victim’s neck. The victim never saw the object and the two parties eventually separated. The accused left the residence shortly after the incident and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused.

Oscar Eugene RIGGLEMAN Jr., 48, of the 13900 block of Hedgewood Dr in Woodbridge
Described as a white male, 5’11”, 180lbs with a medium build, short black/gray hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on his left arm
Wanted for attempted malicious wounding

Residential Burglary – On September 10th at 3:10PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Kenwood Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 2:35PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Money, several pairs of shoes, a gamming console, computer and other property were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On September 10th at 11:56AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Kensington Park Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 4:00PM and 10:30PM on September 9th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into an attached garage through a door which was found damaged. A computer and audio equipment were reported missing.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 12th at 2:34PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8400 block of Tackhouse Lp in Gainesville (20155) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 46:30Am on September 10th and 7:30AM on September 12th, entry was attempted into the home through a rear basement window which was found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On September 12th at 3:00PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic dispute which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 600 block of Harnsberger Barn Ct in Manassas (20110). The victim, a 54 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, a struggle ensued and both parties fell to the ground. At one point, the accused bit off a part of the victim’s thumb. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment where police were called. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Lisa Nyrita WRIGHT, 53, of the 600 block of Harnsberger Barn Ct in Manassas
Charged with malicious wounding
Court Date: pending | Bond: $10,000 secured

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On September 12th at 8:47PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 2900 block of Fox Lair Dr in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused placed his hands around the victim’s throat and then pushed her into a wall. The victim was eventually able to separate from the accused and attempted to contact police. As the victim was dialing, the accused approached the victim holding a knife. The accused left the residence shortly after the incident. Minor injuries were reported. Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. The accused was subsequently arrested on September 13th.

Chad FOTENBERRY-MILLER, 24, of the 2900 block of Fox Lair Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault & battery and preventing the summoning of police

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 13th at 1:17AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed that the accused had assaulted anther member of the home, identified as a 39 year old woman. When officers attempted to place the accused in custody, he actively resisted and struck one of the officers in the face. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Jose Abraham HIDALGO SALGUERO, 42, of the 3600 block of Elm Farm Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, domestic assault & battery, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and public intoxication
Court Date: pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
