**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 4:50PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 14300 block of Westminister Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:30AM and 4:45PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made into the residence through an unsecured window. Jewelry and money were reported missing.

Attempted Burglary to a School – On August 6th at 1:07PM, officers responded to Beville Middle School located at 4901 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary. School security staff reported to police that sometime 2:00PM on August 5th and 12:00PM on August 6th, entry was attempted into the school through two windows. The screens on those windows appeared to have been cut by an unknown cutting instrument. No entry was made into the building and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Malicious Wounding – On August 6th at 10:52AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 53 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused retrieved a knife and cut the victim to his face and wrist. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on August 6th:
Sharon Roxanne TUCKER, 61, of the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries
Charged with malicious wounding
Court date:  pending | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
