**INCIDENTS**

Residential Burglary – On April 30th at 5:40PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Cinnamon St in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:00AM and 3:30PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry appeared to have been made through a basement level door. Jewelry and medication were reported missing.

Residential Burglary – On April 30th at 2:19PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Mill House Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that the burglary occurred between 6:30AM and 11:00AM on April 29th. Entry was made into the home through a rear sliding glass door which was found shattered.  A coin collection was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On April 30th at 1:58PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17300 block of Rocky Mount Ln in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a weapons call. The victims, a 31 year old man and a 27 year old woman, reported to police that they were with the Community Services Board and were attempting to contact the accused at his residence in the above area regarding an incident that happened the day prior involving a roommate. Once inside the home, the accused confronted the victims with a large kitchen knife and a struggle ensued. During the encounter, the accused attempted to stab the victims. At one point, the accused dropped the knife and the victims fled the home. Officers responded and attempted to make contact with the accused who was believed to be still inside the residence. Officers later determined he had left the home prior to their arrival. No injuries were reported. On May 1st, officers responded back to the residence where the accused was eventually taken into custody.

Residential Burglary – On April 18th at 6:52M, officers responded to a residence located in the 6900 block of Traditions Trail in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that she returned home to find several items out of place. After hearing voices inside the residence, the homeowner immediately exited and contacted police. Officers responded and, upon checking the home, jewelry was found to be missing. During the investigation, officers were able to develop suspect information which led to a possible identity of one of the intruders who lived in the neighborhood. Contact was made and two juvenile males were later determined to be the suspects involved in the burglary. Following the investigation, detectives from the Property Unit obtained charging petitions on April 29th against both juveniles in connection to this incident.

Both juveniles were charged with burglary, grand larceny and destruction of property
