Precautionary evacuation cleared at Parkside Middle School in Manassas

There was a precautionary evacuation at Parkside Middle School School in Manassas this morning, due to the smell of gas.
Students and staff have returned safely to the building. The Fire Department gave the all-clear to end the precautionary evacuation after a thorough check. All normal activities resuming, according to a Prince William County Schools spokesman.

Coles Supervisor Yesli Vega issued this statement: "Today (April 25, 2024) I was notified that graffiti including antisemitic symbols were found at Coles Elementary and Benton Middle School. I want to express my unwavering support for our Jewish community. In Prince William County, we firmly reject any form of hatred."
