Police seek thin 5’8” suspect with gold teeth in hotel robbery

Armed Robbery – On February 15 at 1:36AM, officers responded to the Hampton Inn Hotel located at 16959 Old Stage Rd. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a robbery.

An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the lobby and proceeded to hop over the counter before brandishing a knife at the employee. During the encounter, the suspect demanded money from the cash registers and took a phone from the employee’s hands as he attempted to call police. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported.
