Police seek suspects in armed robbery, shooting into dwelling, assault

Armed Robbery *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED –
On March 6, detectives with the Robbery Unit identified a suspect involved in the robbery that occurred in the 14100 block of Carmody Pl. in Woodbridge (22193) on February 25. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of the suspect, identified as David Clarke TUCKER Jr. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful.

Wanted:
David Clarke TUCKER Jr., 26, of the 1100 block of Centre Ave in Portsmouth, VA
Described as a black male, 6’0”, 150lbs with black hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on his neck
Wanted for robbery, credit card theft, and credit card fraud

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On February 25 at 9:30PM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Carmody Pl. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 40-year-old woman, reported to police that she was approached by an unknown man as she exited her vehicle in the above area. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded her property. The suspect took the victim’s fanny pack containing personal items before fleeing in a light colored 4-door sedan. No injuries were reported. Officers searched the area for the suspect who was not located.

Incidents
Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling –
On March 8 at 3:11PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Wolf Run Shoals Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet was found lodged into an interior bedroom wall. The damage was believed to have occurred on March 7 around 2:40AM when a neighbor’s doorbell camera recorded the sound of gunshots in the area. No suspect(s) was observed, and no injuries were reported.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On March 7 at 11:45PM, officers responded to the 1900 block of Briar Rose Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that they observed an unknown man with what appeared to be a firearm fire the weapon into the air. Additional gunshots were also heard. A shell casing was located on a nearby sidewalk. No injuries or property damage were reported. The suspect was only described as a thin black male wearing an orange jacket.

Arrests
Sexual Assault Investigation –
On March 6, detectives with the Special Victims Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred between two students at Potomac High School, located at 3401 Panther Pride in Dumfries (22026), earlier that day. The investigation revealed that at approximately 10:10AM, the accused, a 16-year-old male juvenile, was standing near a door leading to a stairwell when he encountered the victim, identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile. During the encounter, the accused pulled the victim towards the stairwell where she was pushed against the wall and inappropriately touched. The two parties separated, and the victim notified the School Resource Officer (SRO) about the incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strangulation – On March 5 at 6:55PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 54-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim down onto a couch where he placed his hands around her neck. The parties eventually separated, and police were contacted. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Ralphael JONES, was arrested.

Charged with strangulation

On March 8 at 10:38PM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an intoxicated person in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the accused who was under the influence of alcohol. During the arrest, the accused actively resisted and kicked an officer to the chest. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Lily GARCIA-MELENDEZ, was arrested.

Lily GARCIA-MELENDEZ, 23, of no fixed address
Charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest, and public intoxication
Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond
